1080p mkv video lags when multiple subtitles are displayed Y_Y

Hello! I have a Q9550 and an ATi 6850, but whenever I play that episode with subtitles *plus typesetting* my video lags and the audio goes ahead of the video I'm using shark007 codecs and I have ticked 'use ffdshow codec' and Shark007 recommended settings

it did not happen this time but subs look awful now is there a way to get both nice looking subs and not lagging?

I would need to suggest using an alternate player such as the preconfidured MPC-Homecinema player I release on my Tools page.

wow miraculously I got it to work , I've tried MPC but subs looked kind of blurry :/ So I checked 'use ffdshow codec' in the H264 tab (both in 32 and 64bit app) and now it works! Thanks a lot for the help ^_^

It seems I messed up big time *again* and ended up without being able to watch any videos >_>


So I just deleted the version I was using (3.5.1) and downloaded the latest ones (3.5.8) , after installing I ran them as administrator so settings are reset , then I checked (both in 32-bit and 64-bit apps) 'Use Shark007 suggested settings' when I launch a 1080p with tons of subs (text + 2 from typeset) It does not lag, but subs disappear for a second (like if that were to avoid the lag the subtitles produce) Is there a solution to this? Is my PC not good enough to display them? I have tried the ffdshow dvxa but tbh subs look horrible that way and since I'm very strict with the quality *and sub quality* of the stuff I watch :/

maybe you should consider using a different player.
I suggest you get MPC-Homecinema from my tools page.
This player is pre-configured to use the installed codecs.
It will eliminate alot of the quirks caused by the Windows players especially on old hardware.
