Edit Reason: More details
)
When I try to generate a brand new index on a folder with many subfolders and 200,000 images, I get the error popup after it gets 5-10% through:
Icaros Unhandled Exception
Icaros terminated unexpectedly.
Source file: Dh6H6y7XlBB1wT8.jpg
Failed to generate minidump file to C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp\IcarosDebug\IcarosThumbnailProvider.dll-1.1.0.302-11.26.dmp (Error: 2147942430)
I've removed several of the offending files to another folder that isn't indexed, and it still crashes on seemingly random files. Although if I leave the same files in place, they crash at the same file. Now I do see that the indexer scans the same file and folder order, so perhaps at a certain "count", it fails. Current fail count is 34.9%, 84591 of 237957 files, with 6 failed to index.
I looked at the file identified and it opens fine in IrfanView and the thumbnail looks fine in Windows Explorer with Icaros still enabled.
I have already enabled debugging per the registry file in the other thread here.
When I click Rebuild Cache after, I get the Status: Indexing Completed: Failed to access the database [0x10] [Took: 21s 506ms]. If I Clear Cache and Rebuild, same problem. If I Clear Cache, change the Cache Location, and do not move the existing cache to the new location, same problem. Refreshing Windows Explorer doesn't help.
If I Restart Windows Explorer, Clear Cache, change the cache location to a brand new folder WITH moving existing cache, then Build Cache, then I get Failed to access the database [0x10].
If I Restart Windows Explorer, Clear Cache, change the cache location to a brand new folder WITHOUT moving existing cache, then Build Cache, then rebuilding works.
Any ideas?
