5.1 via HDMI not working anymore
Hi... im using a notebook HP dv5-1140 and i connect it to a Sony HT via HDMI to play my files in 5.1 !!
I just installed yesterday win 7 x64 and the both newer versions of the win7 codecs! I´ve set both the 32 and 64 setttings aplication (audio tab) to Same as input and Use Pass-through! Everything was working just fine, both with media player 32 bits version and Media player classic x64 HC !! Now today (i didnt change anything or installed any other thing, just turned off notebook yesterday) i cant get 5.1 anymore! It will only pass 2.0 stereo! Looking at the settings, ive noticed now that always when i open them (both 32 and 64) the Choose a Speaker configuration is set to 2.0 Stereo! Even if i try to change to same as input and save settings it comes back to 2.0 Stereo! And i think that this is the reason why i can get 5.1 anymore! Already tried to uninstall and install again but it keeps doing the same thing! Appreciate any help! |

RE: 5.1 via HDMI not working anymore
It seems you have discovered bug with audio settings.
a workaround until I release a new version... set it to 'same as input' just before you close the settings application, EVERYTIME you open it. I released versions 237 on MajorGeeks to solve the issue. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |
