8.2.8 Install Issue
#1
Went to update from 8.2.5 to 8.2.8 today and am getting a dialog box during extraction which states:

"1152: Error extracting Shark007 ADVANCED Codecs.msi to the temporary location"

This is after uninstalling 8.2.5 first.
Am able to reinstall 8.2.5 without issue.

Running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
Please let me know if more info needed.

Thank you.

The downloaded file is corrupt.
On the Advanced Codecs webpage I post an MD5 checksum for each new release.
For version 8.2.8 it is 9ffffe0c96209a29d12b3ef61d7eec5c
Do not use download managers and get your file from Majorgeeks.

Thank you for your reply. I did grab it from Majorgeeks (as always). Will try again and report back.

Just realized my initial post may not have been clear - I don't mean extraction as in I'm extracting it from a zip file, I mean after running the exe and clicking OK after the language selection dialog at which time it says "extracting files".

Downloaded the same file and ran it again. This time it installed without a problem. However, rather than a corrupt download, it appears my AV software (Avast) was interfering. It was in silent/gaming mode and blocking something in the background unbeknownst to me. Apologies for the false alarm and thank you for your time.
