@shark07Martin
Hmm, interesting... Let me know if I can help in any way. I could, for example, provide you with the registry keys accessed by Icaros? Icaros doesn't use any config files atm. I'm definitely interested in knowing the cause. @Lenmaer Alright ^_^ OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 |

I can't think of anything, off the top of my head, that could cause this kind of problem, unless a dependency was missing, of course. I'll lend it some thought and then PM you later today, with some things you could try. OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 |

RE: About Icaros
I have to say Icaros 2.0 runs beautifully also in Windows 8 Release Preview. Keep up the good work, Xanashi!

RE: About Icaros
Hi Shiro ^_^
Thanks for the update. I haven't tried Windows 8 yet, so it's nice to hear that Icaros still works on the next version of Windows. As a little update to everyone, I can reveal that 2.1 is basically done, but I'm having some trouble with a single "phantom-like" bug. Hopefully I can locate the source of it and get it fixed soon. :-) OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 |

Bug:Thumbnail of MKV's cropped video
I have a MKV video file, the original video have top and bottom black sides, so I set 50 pixels top and bottom cropped in MKV Toolnix's headeditor. Then, Icaros generated an image with the original video frame and set the AR of display height and display width. I mean the AR is right, but the image should be cropped.
EX.: MKV'Video setting frame height:720 frame width:1280 display height:620 display width:1280 crop top:50 crop bottom:50 |

RE: About Icaros
Love this program. Everything is thumbnailed!... except for a small exception.
LAV Filters are based off of ffmpeg, which does not decode VP7 video, so several AVIs I have are not thumbnailed. There is an official VP7 decoder available, so could Icaros use that for VP7 thumbnails? Apologies if this is not as simple as I think it is. Thanks for Icaros! |

RE: About Icaros
@Rosie
The cropping properties of the mkv container are currently not accounted for, when generating the thumbnail. As far as I know, FFmpeg and most Dshow filters, avoids the cropping properties in containers, because such information should only be specified directly in the video bitstream. Otherwise it might cause trouble. @mjolnir870 Glad to hear you enjoy it ^_^ Unfortunately, it will most likely not be possible to add support for VP7, before FFmpeg supports the format. Icaros currently doesn't use DirectShow for thumbnailing, so the official decoder will not be an option. :/ Note to everyone: Icaros 2.1 is very close to the Beta stage. I will post a test build here quite soon, I'll just need to run a few more tests, to make sure nothing is completely out of order. ;-) OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 |

RE: About Icaros
Hello,
I've some files (MKVs) that have multiple video tracks, but it seems Icaros is unable to generate a thumbnail of those, the thumbnails are always black. When separated in multiple MKV files, Icaros generates a thumbnail. So I was wondering if it was possible to fix that? |
