It will never be a truly portable app, because .NET doesn't really allow that.
I could add the msvcr100.dll, to eliminate the need for the VC++ 2010 Redist.,
but Microsoft discourages it, mostly for security reasons.

I must say the newest release/incarnation of Icaros (within the codecs package I assume) is blazingly fast - in fact mkv files, even 1080/50p thumbnail faster than my D700 jpeg images - amazing!

This is great program, everything works but shortcut thumbnails of videos. Is it just me or is this a known problem?

I've a question.
Does the latest version touch the folder settings?
Because it came to my attention that lately the folder settings (list, big icons, small icons, etc) always are reset to default from time to time, especially when I get a com surrogate error when browsing a BDMV folder.
