Auzentech X-Fi HD
I have an Auzentech X-Fi HD sound card for lossless HD sound, which is designed to be paired with Power DVD. I currently have Cyberlink's most current version of Power DVD 12. System is Windows 7 64bit. I am unable to play Dolby True and DTS Master Audio. Settings within Power DVD are set for HDMI and to send uncompressed audio out to external device (Yamaha RX-V3800). In windows, I have playback device set to speakers as per Auzentech instructions. No sound from Power DVD with DVD or BluRay disc, or with an AVI / MKV, etc type file on PC. However, when setting HDMI as playback devise in windows sound settings, I get sound from AVI files and it decodes DTS and Dolby...which light up on Yamaha Reciever. However, when I play a BluRay disc with DTS master Audio per say, no sound is heard, even when disck option is chosen on BluRay disk itself.
System has worked flawless in past. Had problems after upgrading to a new motherboard, but after a few days of reinstalling Power DVD, and Audio drivers numerous times...system worked perfect until I had to move audio card to new slot to accomodate new video card. (have reverted back to old card / slots, to no avail). I have both the 32 and 64 bit Shark 007 pkg installed, and have audio set to bitstream True / Dolby etc. Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

"send uncompressed audio" = decode it on the PC you want to sent the compressed audio to the AVR for decoding. |

When system worked as intended (for over a yr), Cyberlink audio settings were set to "use HDMI", and "Output mode" to Non-decoded High Definition audio to external device. When Bluray had DTS Master Audio available, it would illuminate on Yamaha reciever and worked perfect!(06-25-2012 09:22 AM)gman527 Wrote: Settings within Power DVD are set for HDMI and to send uncompressed audio out to external device (Yamaha RX-V3800 Just an FYI, I have a well above avg IQ on HTPC systems, Dolby, lossless, etc. Built current system, and system worked flawlessly for over a yr when following Auzentech sound card and Power DVD settings to the letter. |

Try uninstalling your current codecs, and install the latest available from MajorGeeks (v368 at this time) This release has no chance to interact with PDV12 |
