In case it helps, I'm using Win8 RP Build 8400 w/the newest version of your Win8 and 64bit codecs. DD, DTS, and DTS HD-MA work fine.

what player are you using for testing?

MPC-HC from your Tools page. The x64 non MadVR version.

I have tested the scenario you present and all is working as expected.
Check Control Panel | Sound and verify that your hdmi device is set to stereo

I also tested this in Media Center - It is working fine there also.

are you using version 373 of the x64Components?

Yep, tried Stereo and 7.1 and neither work. And, I'm using whatever the latest x64 update is (I reinstalled today).
Maybe, I'll have to wait for an official Win8 driver (right now it's an official "Preview"*)or something. Thanks for the help though.

*The Win7 video drivers didn't work either BTW.

Update: Getting rid of the Windows 8 (AMD's Preview) drivers helped. I went to Win7's latest and they worked. However, I had to manually change the Audio drivers from Windows' to AMD's. Seems to work so far.
