Codec quit working with W7 update
I recently did the SP1 upgrade to W7. Now that I did that I no longer have HD audio (Dolby or DTS) with Windows Media Player. Before I go messing with the codecs I wanted to know if this was a known issue and I need to update them. Or is it something else related to SP1 that I can leave the codecs alone. I am currently on Shark 2.7.6, I know it is old but everything has been working so I never messed with it.

RE: Codec quit working with W7 update
uninstall your current codecs.
Today, I released v361 on MajorGeeks - install that. |

RE: Codec quit working with W7 update
Mopar_Mudder,
Shark has written several times, that the settings backup/restore feature does not work (also there were several changes from v2 to v3 of Win7codecs if I am not mistaken). I would suggest writting the settings down, try out the new defaults first, then if you have sound probles, try to set your previous settings. Windows 8 x64 / i5 750 / AMD HD 5850 / Benq XL 2410T / MPC-BE / Win7codecs |
