CoreAVC and windows explorer crash
Installed newest release today (5.2.3) + MPC HC newest release (svn 1090) and CoreAVC still crashes windows explorer when set as H.264 decoder (by disabling FFDshow via VCP settings).
any ideas on how to make CoreAVC 1.9.5 play nice with VCP? edit: the files in question are your typical mkv/h.264 files, nothing fancy. |

RE: CoreAVC and windows explorer crash
Hi,
I have the exact same problem here : Windows 7 (Ultimate, final) explorer crashes as soon as I browse a folder with an h264 file in it if I set "Use CoreAVC codec" in the H264 tab of the Settings Application. The same happens on two very different computers, one being an EeePC. It's always been like that here, since the very first time I installed Windows 7. It happened with CoreAVC 1.9.x, it's still happening with CoreAVC 2.0. If I put the setting back to "Use DivX codec" through the use of "Shark007 SUGGESTED Settings" everything goes fine. Have a nice day ! |

RE: CoreAVC and windows explorer crash
CoreAVC has known issues with building thumbnails.
On the MKV TAB of the 32bit settings application you need to choose to disable thumbnails to use CoreAVC. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software

RE: CoreAVC and windows explorer crash
Disabling the MKV thumbnails will be 'automatic' in future releases when selecting CoreAVC.
If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
