Decode ALL Audio with ffdshow?
Hi,
I'm still not done with my Volume Level Problem. I'd like to decode EVERYTHING with ffdshow, as the normalization settings in there seem to work best. But i found a lot of problems while trying to do so: When Disabling MS Audio Decoder in SWAP Tab, WMC refuses to play files containing AAC audio completely. It's still hard to get everything at a nearly even volume level. Some files i play only use the lower 10% of the Win7 Mixer bars. Perfect solution for me would be to play everything with ffdshow as audio decoder. My SetUp: Win7 x64 HTPC Nvidia GeForce GT520 HDMI audio out Windows Media Center Edit: Ok, got it to use ffdshow for aac. Only codec missing now is ac3/a52 audio(5.1)(I have ac3filter enabled). Edit2: Ok, Disablin ac3filter makes it pass ac2 through ffdshow, which only makes it worse... but raising up gain in ac3filter makes other stuff too loud again, as ac3filter seems to affect all audio, not only ac3... |
