Files Play Fine in WMP x64 but not Media Center

I am having this issue where my media files play fine in Windows Media Player 64 bit, but in Media Center when I click play the screen just goes black.

It is not file type specific, however it is all the files that have AVC/H264 encoding.

Does anyone have an explaination for this? It is driving me insane.

Assuming you have installed the x64Components addon...
In the 64bit Settings Application, SWAP TAB, disable the Microsoft Video decoder

Thanks Shark. That fixed it!! I just wanted to add that, in order for it to work properly, I had to use the FFDSHOW DXVA codec for H264. I originally wanted to use the LAV codec for my Nvidia graphics card, but the LAV codec does not work for H264 if I disable Windows Video Decoding.
