Firefox Default program settings being wrecked by installer

hi, either when you install or set to recommended settings with the more recent versions of shark codecs it is setting the firefox icon in Default programs to a WMP icon and wrecking file permissions on html files along with others. to remedy the issue firefox needs to be reinstalled/file permissions restored.

edit: its when you set recommended settings on either x86/x64 portions of the software. once thats been pressed the file types are messed up and unable to be restored through default programs and requires a reinstall/registry fix.\

also its a fresh install and what not and nothing else is conflicting.
