RE: Firefox Default program settings being wrecked by installer
hi, i partitioned my HD and installed
Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1 x64_u English MSDN (untouched) FINAL 677332 no updates or access to the internet. the only setup changes were Canada for locale and "ask me later" for windows updates. all other options were skipped other then PC name. I then installed 7-x64 9.25 alpha for the context menu to unzip and install FF 11.0 then both codec packages and clicked disable updates then Use recommended settings for shark. at that point upon refreshing the Default programs page as stated before the FF icon is then a WMP icon and file permissions are messed up as shown. this also affects daemon tools as well of which i forgot i had to reinstall that. if you link me a repository of previous builds i can go back and determine at which build did the shit hit the fan for this awkward issue. fairly certain its recent in the 3.5 builds and its not that time consuming to check. i can provide another screen shot but it would just show exactly what has been said or shown in the previous screen shots before. |
