RE: Freezing Video
In the 32bit settings app, H264 tab, choose the Divx codec
In the x64 settings app, H264 TAB, choose FFDshow on the righthand side. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |

RE: Freezing Video
My next move would be to disable the Microsoft Audio decoder on the SWAP TAB
If the MKV contains MP3 audio, selecting FFDshow for MP2/3 will help too. On the Misc TAB is a tool to analyze a file and know its contents/structure, try it. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |

I dont think its the mp3 audio because all mkv files have this issue. I have no idea how to fix this problem. Once it freezes, MCE + PC is completely stuck all I can do is hit the power button. If you have any other ideas let me know. |

RE: Freezing Video
Hi Chiro,
Could you provide us with your systems specs? Is this just some usual H264 MKV's or are they encoded using any special formats? - X OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

RE: Freezing Video
I do have freezes too since I updated to 2.3.2: it happened when I tried to play some avi, a regular DVD and a wmv-file.
My system: Windows 7 64bit Asus P5ke Wifi AP Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS, latest driver 4GB RAM I had no trouble at all before the installation. Since the system needs a restart to be unfrozen, the problem is far too annoying to keep this version installed; I hope, a de-installation will solve the problem. |

RE: Freezing Video
just to test something for me, using version 232, even though you may not have coreavc, on the H264 TAB, select coreavc and then select the box below that for ffdshow postprocessing. Doing this will revert ffdshow to an ealier version (3156).
I am curious if the current version is causing all these problems. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |
