Had a windows update and now windows 12 media player keeps crashing

Literally about an hour ago i had a windows update and now with no setitngs changed the media player keeps crashing. Have even tried reinstalling the codec pack and no joy . Any help would be appreciated. I am running windows 10

This Windows update, KB4013429, is responsible for your issues.
It is not a codec issue.
You can either uninstall that update or wait for Microsoft to issue a fix.

rightclick the startmenu access in the lower left of your screen
at the top of the list, select Programs and Features
in the left column, select to View installed updates

Some updates cannot be uninstalled.
I never installed this update so I do not know if it can be selected for uninstall.
