Horizontal Line During Playback
Ug, I've got another issue!
During playback on several movies, I get this horizontal that scans up the screen. I've done a little research but cannot find a solution!! I heard it might be something called "tearing"? Something about the two types of buffers? I don't know.. I have no idea what to do - please help!! BTW - this occurs on all players, including MPC HC |

RE: Horizontal Line During Playback
Hi,
let us start with some basic info. What are your system specs? -OS -CPU (processor) -GPU (graphics card) -version of Shark codecs installed + have you tried "reset all" setting? -newest graphics card drivers installed? -what video renderer are you using? (e.g. in MPC-HC -> Options -> Output) -any resizer set on the renderer? -Vsync turned on graphics drivers settings? Windows 8 x64 / i5 750 / AMD HD 5850 / Benq XL 2410T / MPC-BE / Win7codecs |

RE: Horizontal Line During Playback
Quote:BTW - this occurs on all players, including MPC HC Does this occur also in players, which have their own filters/decoders? (e.g. VLC) Also please let us know what files are problematic. MKV, AVI? 1080p videos? As of now, I have got 2 suggestions, if your using MPC-HC. 1. Right-click MPC-HC video screen, select Renderer settings -> VSync -> and try to test VSync or Accurate VSync. 2. Go to Shark app - h264 tab, select LAV codec, go to its properties (Config) -> and select Intel Quicksync under Hardware Configuration. RE: Horizontal Line During Playback
This is due most likely on the Intel Sandy Bridge graphics and is more common in dual monitor mode.
If you have only one display device connected to the motherboard, but the Board has two HDMI outputs or HDMI and DisplayPort, then test the other outputs. AMD A6-3650 with HD6530 graphics * XP MCE 2005, Windows 7 x86 + x64 + 8 x64 * PowerDVD 12 + 13 |

RE: Horizontal Line During Playback
Do you have the option of a recent ATI or NVIDIA graphics card to test, to rule out an INTEL graphic error?
