IDEAS WELCOMED | presets
I am considering to add a presets TAB to the Settings Apllication.
These settings should in all instances support playback in Media Center. My idea is to enable novice users better use of the settings app giving them 1click enable/disable of well known combinations of settings that work for certain formats. An Example: For playback of ripped Blu-ray content, choosing to disable WMF combined with selecting gabests Blu-ray splitter, will in 95% of cases, allow the content to play in Media Center. If you have a suggested preset, now is the time to speak up . . . i'm listening If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |

RE: IDEAS WELCOMED | presets
I wasnt looking for an overall preset. I hope you are aware that you can use the save/restore feature of the MISC TAB to restore this setup after a clean install. If you had old settings from before 2.0 it would be required for you to save a new set. Also I havent received any feedback on this feature other than private testing. Would be nice to know it is fully functional in the wild, or if there is an issue that requires my attention.
What i am looking for is as the example I posted in the 1st post. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software

RE: IDEAS WELCOMED | presets
I am not really sure now. I could really re-introduce my settings as:
Example 1: HDMI or S/PDIF mode: For playback of DTS/multi channel AC3 content decoded in the Amplifier, choosing to disable AC3Filter. Example 2: Upmixing Stereo to Surround Sound: Saving settings is a good idea. But I prefer to always redo them manually. I will test save/restore settings and provide feedback. |
