MKV Thumbnails

Hi i m new to this forum and just started using these codecs,
the codecs work good all files can be played with wmp but here is the problem
thumbnails are not showing for mkv files and even flv's. I am using Win 7 64bit

i have installed both 32bit codecs and 64 bit addon as instructions but no mkv thumbnails!

Hi GRV,

You need to open the Settings Application x64 with admin privileges, at least once after installation, to activate thumbnailing.

i have opened both normal settings and x64 setting after installation with admin priveleges (when it resets installation codecs to default), still no thumbnails!

Did you install the latest version of the pack (3.2.4)?

What happens if you click 'Reset All' in the x64 Settings App?

ya i installed latest 3.2.4 version. i also tried 3.2.0 version both dont work

Did you try 'Reset All'?

Also, try clicking the Icaros Config button on the Config Tab of the Settings App x64.
Does it throw any errors?

icaros config gave .net framework 4 error so i installed it
and reset settings again. all thumbnails working fine now (both mkv and flv). thanks a lot for helping

btw is there any way to show mkv file properties (height, width, etc) in explorer like avi and wmv files.

On the MKV tab, uncheck the disable MKV properties button, and log off and on. It works then!

You're welcome ;-)

On the MKV tab of the Setting App, there should be an option to enable (or disable) MKV properties.
