MKV's - "Cannot Play Video"
Hey all,
I've searched and have tried many things but haven't found a solution that works. When I try to play MKV files, either old or new, none of them will play through Media Browser in WMC. I get the following message: "CANNOT PLAY VIDEO - Windows Media Center cannot find the specified file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the files does not exists at the specified location, or the computer where the files is stored is offline." I've tried the suggested settings, associating the files types, etc. MP4 and ISO work fine, it's just MKV's with this issue. Help? |

RE: MKV's - "Cannot Play Video"
On the Miac TAB, use the button, [Rebuild WMP Library]

I do have a 64 bit machine, but do not have the x64 shark files installed as I had issues playing anything with that installed. Any other thoughts? I appreciate the help! |

RE: MKV's - "Cannot Play Video"
On a 64bit Operating System, Media Center will not play most files without the x64Components installed.
I can assure you, the x64Components addon does not cause problems. (disabling UAC is most likely the cause of problems) |
