MKV stutter - high CPU after upgrade

Hi Shark007.

I just updated to version 3.6.0 using clean install of both the codec pack and the x64 components. Both were set to "suggested settings".

I am using Windows 7 3GHz Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA Geforce GT220 and TOSLINK for optical DTS passthrough.

I updated from an old version, give or take 6 months old, where everything was working fine. However now it takes a long time to open any MKV and the playback is very choppy. It is now not possible to view any MKVs. I have tried different settings, but am fondling in the dark. What is changed, and how can I solve this?

I am using Windows Media Player, as with previous codec pack version. This happens with any mkv of 1-15gb 720p/1080p.

It still does not work Shark007. Please help out here. I can no longer play any MKV without a very choppy result. Any other suggestions?
