I do not have vlc on my system.
On the Misc TAB is a dropbox to cut a 40MB sample. To use the dropbox you need to open the app without admin privileges. uopload the sample to mediafire.com, grab the download url and post it here |

You're using Windows Media Center (on an Intel iGPU) to play back the audio over HDMI? The audio works fine for me in another player like VLC, but my receiver reports stereo with the file I linked to, and I don't hear any audio when played through Media Center (x64). |

Unfortunately... it still won't work for me. No audio with the sample file I sent your way after I installed the driver you provided me with. It's a complete stock Win7 Ultimate x64 system other then the following software: TMT5 AnyDVD VirtualCloneDrive MyMovies Shark007 Codecs (32 and 64 bit) I've reset and even re-installed your codecs multiple times. After clearing the settings I checked off to use the recommend settings, and then went to the audio tab and choose the TrueHD DTS-HD passthrough option. Everything else works great (HD audio, Dolby Digital, DTS, and even stereo (playing MP3's and Lossless WMA files through media center)). But I just can't seem to get those MKV's with 2-channel stereo to put out any audio. |

RE: MKV with AC3 Audio - No audio unless AC3Filter is enabled
I have the same issue... MKV files with AC3 audio using SPDIF passthrough (Audio Bitstreaming set to AC3/DTS only)
The audio will play but its very distorted, almost like its being played too loud. I have tried everything suggested in the post already. Was there any further solutions to this? |
