MP3 covers art problem (in WMP) with x64 components
Hello Everyone!
Well, I have a new problem and I know now that it came with Shark Codec. Here's the situation: I have a hughe music library and only MP3 (more than 30000). For some reasons I have explained here, I had to install x64 components on my Seven 64 bits operating system. But then, I realized than almost half of my MP3s have "lost" their covert art in the main windows and some Metadata too (mostly the case sensivity). Here a capture: http://hpics.li/8ebdfe4 I removed x64 components and Shark Codec in the way to reinstall Shark Codec only. Now, I have to recode (with dBpoweramp) every MP3 wich have lost their contents. But, of course, the problem I had before (see thread above) has came back. So, how can I install x64 components without loosing these informations I spent a long time to write (with MP3tag editor)? And, at least, what is the goal of x64 components (I can't hardly understand how it is useful)? Thanks a lot and again, please be good with my English... |

RE: MP3 covers art problem (in WMP) with x64 components
a possible solution: On the Misc TAB of the 64bit app, try disabling the LAV splitter
test, if unresolved, try doing the same in the 32bit app. The 64bit app provides 64bit codecs for Windows explorer's Preview Pane and video playback in Media Center. |

Ok.
I am gonna do this. But: do I have to use the 64 bit version of Windows Media Player? |

RE: MP3 covers art problem (in WMP) with x64 components
Well ok...
Now, a new question: to wich adress can I send you flowers? Damned, it works! I had the deep feeling that LAV splitter was the problem but I missed this option. Shame on me... One last thing: I noticed that I couldn't read AVI files anymore (because of these modifications I guess). So, on the "AVI tab", I have enabled "Use LAV's splitter" in "AVI playback" and "Realmedia Splitter" (without changing anything in the Misc tab). As so far, it seems to work. Was I right? |

It doesnt really disable the splitter, it just lowers its MERIT. but, for all intents and purposes, it is disabled for 'most' things unless specifically set, as you did, for avi. |

So, it means that I'm not such bad in English... :-)
I'll consider very soon to donate, I swear! A such good job should be rewarded... To finish, final question: in the future, is it in project to have a translated version of Shark Codec (French and others)? Anyway, thanks again for your support! |
