Making a unified Settings application
Hi Shark007,
Here is an idea for your consideration if not conveyed earlier. A unified settings application that takes care of both x64 and x86 settings. If working perfectly, this can lead to just managing / coding one Settings application. Basically the idea is to set 32-bit settings and if the OS is 64-bit then setting the 64-bit also (automatically). For example, in this screenshot: When the user sets playback splitter to Gabest in the Settings GUI, it can automatically set the splitter in both 32-bit and 64-bit. Is this something that can be done in the future? Thanks, McoreD |

RE: Making a unified Settings application
It is my opinion that most people would prefer to maintain separate 32 and 64bit settings.
For instance, native MP3 audio vs FFDshow. In x64 players, it is required to set this to FFDshow but in 32bot players, the native codec works OK. For instance 2, at this time, 32bit H264/MPEG2 offers more possibilities than are available in x64 For instance 3, FFDshow audio/video settings. For instance 4, vobsub settings and so on . . . If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |
