 Malware?
Ok so I installed the Win7Codecs_v338, then realised there was a newer v349. So like you say I proceded to unistall v338 then I was going to install v349. only problem is my AVG kicked in when the uninstall program started and flagged it as a keylogger. AVG promptly quarantined it and so no I have no way of uninstalling v338.
I have always gotten my codec installers from Major Geeks, following your links from this site. Can you shed any light on this, and also let me know how to uninstall now. |

update your scanner definitions.
copy/paste or type exactly, this command to the explorer address bar or a command prompt window msiexec.exe /uninstall {8C0CAA7A-3272-4991-A808-2C7559DE3409} press enter |
