Missing burn Video DVD option in WMC7
Hi - I had been running an older version of Shark007 (v3.0.6, I believe) and everything was fine - I could play MKVs on extenders and I had the "Video DVD" option under WMC in Tasks-> Burn CD/DVD
I had to perform a clean uninstall and installed the latest v3.6.1 release - I can play MKVs fine on extenders still, but I am now missing the "Video DVD" option in WMC7. Any ideas how to get this back (outside of uninstalling the codecs, which does work BTW). Thanks! |

RE: Missing burn Video DVD option in WMC7
I found an old version of Shark007 v3.0.8 and installing those, the DVD Video option is available. Immediately upon installing the latest release, that option disappears.
I suppose this is a bug in the latest release (3.6.1)? |

RE: Missing burn Video DVD option in WMC7
I have this "bug" in version 3.6.1 Shark007 neither in Windows 7 x86 and x64 nor in Windows 8 x86 and still see no connection between Shark007 and MC7 menu?

HD - sorry, I must be reading your reply incorrectly but are you saying that you DO see the same problem, or do not? I am running Win7 Ultimate x64. I agree, it seems like a weird connection but from what I can tell, the "DVD-Video" option in WMC is connected to the Windows DVD Maker application which uses some sort of encoder to create the DVD disk. The only thing I can think of is that between v3.0.8 and the v3.6.1, perhaps this encoder is getting wiped out (SWAG) and therefore not showing the option in WMC7. As mentioned, all shows fine with Shark007 uninstalled; v3.0.8 option is there; v3.6.1 option is not. |

I use W7CP and X64C 3.6.1 in Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and 64, in both the DVD option in MC7 is available!

RE: Missing burn Video DVD option in WMC7
Strange - I can reproduce this everytime. Can anyone else confirm they have the DVD Video option in WMC7 Burn DVD option menu with v3.6.1?
I'm applying this on a fresh install of Win7... |

I've confirmed this on two separate machines - on both Win7 x64 (both 32bit and 64bit components installed) and Win7 x32 that the DVD Video and SlideShow options go missing in WMC7 (under Burn DVD) when installing Shark v3.6.1. Immediately upon uninstalling, the two options are back. These are on fresh installs. I'm not sure what's unique to HD's situation (maybe upgrading?) but it's definately happening and reproducible. Shark - any thoughts? |

I will purchase a blank for testing a.s.a.p. Does uninstallaing only the x64Components bring back the missing features? OR on the H264 TAB of the 64bit app, select the Microsoft decoder, does doing so correct the problem? |

My HTPC is in use right now so I'll have to wait to try your suggestion. However, on the 32bit machine (that is also happens on), I did verify on the H264 tab that the MS decoder is selected. Since it's happening on just 32bit (w/out 64bit components), I wonder if we can isolate it to that one piece? |
