Mkv no longer works on xbox 360
Ok, So, I recently had a windows service crash, and since then mkv files do not work on the xbox 360.
The crash was as follows: The Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service cannot process the request for URI 'http://192.168.0.150:10243/WMPNSSv4/3523422300/ezBCMzM1NDQxLTYwMzUtNEJDNC04NDgyLTQ5QjcyNTg0OUE3OH0uMC42NDFBMjdFRQ.asf?formatID=40' from IP address '192.168.0.13' due to error '0xc00d1906'. And this also: Faulting application name: wmpnetwk.exe, version: 12.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bd03d Faulting module name: DivXMFSource.dll, version: 1.0.0.72, time stamp: 0x4cffcff8 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000000005129 Faulting process id: 0x13f4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cd1ea3774f4ee9 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnetwk.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Plus Media Foundation Components\DivXMFSource.dll Report Id: da74218c-8d8d-11e1-834f-a35dbf54a637 Since then, I have uninstalled all Codec's and re-installed Shark007 one's, (like I had before). I have a 64bit operating system, so I disabled UAC and then installed 32 bit, then the 64bit components. (Like you should) I then went and enabeld the 64bit Windows Media Player and went into the mkv section in Shark007 and enabled DIVX Foundation codecs. I think I have done everything correctly.. I am using the Haali Codec's but still nothing, I have restarted my pc numerous times. The issue I am having is that the Mkv files work correctly on my pc in media center, but not on the xbox 360. Just a black screen there. ![]() it's almost like the xbox 360 is not picking up the codec's from my pc for some reason. Very Depressing, Please Help!! <3 Ok, just noticed I have sound but no picture help plx <3 |

(Like you should) UAC should NOT be disabled (ever). Especially not during installations Uninstall my codecs, set UAC to the Default position, reboot, re-install the codecs (04-24-2012 09:29 AM)Chaz Wrote: I then went and enabeld the 64bit Windows Media Player There is NOT a single good reason to do this, ever. This step is a MUST for Xbox playback of MKV files. please know, the above can be reason for Media Center to not play mkv's properly (04-24-2012 09:29 AM)Chaz Wrote: I am using the Haali Codec's but still nothing, If you installed Haali on your own, this is another problem, uninstall it After following my above instruction, press [Reset All] in both apps, then go to the MKV TAB of the 64bit app and enable the DivX MF splitter. EDIT, I just remembered... The 64bit app defaults the H264 TAB to LAV, you need to set that to Microsoft for xbox playback. BTW, I do not own an xbox - all of the above is learned from xbox users. |
