Need help with subtitles
#1
Hi
I am having trouble displaying subtitles and I need help to solve it.

I have read much of this forum and will try to explain what my setup is but please forgive me if I misunderstood certain terms.

I am using Windows 7 64bit SP1 and the Windows Media Player that came with it. It looks like it is version 12. I have also instanlled Shark007 codec pack. When the subtitles didn't show up, I downloaded (not the 64bit one) and installed directvobsub and now I can see a VSfilter folder in my applications. However, the subtitles still didn't show up.

I have checked the subtitle file and it is correct. I tried it on a XP machine and that worked.

What else do I need to do?

Thank you for any help.

Uninstall DirectVobSub, it is only going to complicate your issue further.
Get and install a current release of my software; there were several improvements as of late just for subtitles.
Press [Reset All] in my Settings Application after uninstalling that.
Check the box at the bottom yo use the [x] SUGGESTED settings
If the file is MP4, go to that TAB in my App and choose to disable Media Foundation for MP4.
There are similar selections for AVI and MKV, etc.
