Netbook with XP playing 720p .mkv

I use the codec pack on 2 W7 computers and they are great.

I recently bought a netbook with the Atom 1.6 CPU and so far can't play 720p in MPC without stuttering. Will the Vista Codec Pack and your own modified MPC-HC play these with this processor? If so could you please mention any special setup requirements.

If the GPU can handle it, try the MPC-HC codec.
If results are unsatisfactory, try using the Divx codec

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean that I should try the standalone MPC-HC/DivX, or to instal Vista Codec Pack and MPC-PC from your tools section?

Witht he MPC codec the video played but the audio was way out of sync. But with the divX codec and the MPC output set on EVR, the 720p vids. play perfectly, so thanks for your help.

I was surprised to see that EVR works with XP as I thought it was for Vista/7 only.
