New Release: 2.2.6 Final
#1
Good afternoon Everyone,

It's been quite a while since the last time a new Icaros build was put out,
but between vacation and work, I just haven't had much time to put out new releases of Icaros, unfortunately. :/

The good news is, there haven't been many reports in this past month, which seems to indicate that
the current build is quite stable and working generally well.

On the other hand, I've once again failed to release the final build in a timely manner,
so to rectify that, I'm releasing 2.2.6 final today even though it contains a couple of changes, that wasn't present in 2.2.6 b2.

Although there haven't been many changes in this release, the overall development of Icaros
hasn't been on hold. However most of the development is currently happening in the branches
containing new features, so I don't have much to show right now.

These are the changes since the previous beta build:

- Added support for rare on2vp8 format in ogv files
- Improved thumbnailing speed of HEVC files
- A couple of minor fixes
- Updated FFmpeg

And here is the full changelog of 2.2.6:

[Icaros v.2.2.6 Final]
- Improved the core thumbnailing code (should result in a small speed boost)
- Improved thumbnailing speed of HEVC files
- Improved swf thumbnailing in general
- Added support for rare on2vp8 format in ogv files
- Fixed Icaros on Win XP
- Fixed crash when thumbnailing shortcuts (Thanks Sahil)
- Fixed aspect ratio of specific mp4/mov files
- Fixed a couple of swf thumbnailing regressions
- Fixed rare jpg files displaying upside down
- Fixed crash with certain mkv files on 32-bit systems (Thanks hervansaputra)
- Many minor fixes and improvements
- Improved FFmpeg build
- Updated FFmpeg

Enjoy! ;)

Btw, now that Icaros has it's own subforum, would people rather have new releases put out in separate dedicated threads? :)
