Hmm... I haven't received any mail. Are you sure the file was sent to the right address?

EDIT: Nevermind, for some reason it ended up in my Spam folder. I got it now.

Hi All,

Beta 4 is now out.
It fixes a handful of crashes (thanks to everyone who contacted me! I appreciate the feedback),
and adds support for legacy OGG cover art. It also fixes the display of unicode characters in certain properties (as reported by cengizhan),
and contains the latest FFmpeg changes.

[Icaros v.2.3.0 Beta 4]
- Added support for legacy OGG cover art
- Fixed unicode characters for certain properties in Explorer
- Fixed crash in Windows Media Player
- Fixed a couple of file specific crashes
- Some general improvements to the property handler
- Updated FFmpeg

I would like to report a bug affecting all Icaros version.
3.0 (L, C, R) audio channels are reported as 2.1 (L, R, LFE) audio channels.

Good afternoon,

I have another build ready for testing.
It fixes some issues, where Icaros didn't select the proper cover in music files with multiple covers.
It also contains a good number of property related fixes.

The good news is, I haven't received any new reports of errors or crashes after Beta 4 was released,
so this branch may soon be ready to go final.

@Lenmaer
Thanks for the sample. A fix should be included in this new beta build. :)

Here's the changelog:

[Icaros v.2.3.0 Beta 5]

- Icaros now prefers front covers in music files with mulitple embedded covers
- Fixed parsing of covers in files with ApeTags + ID3v1 tags
- Fixed parsing of unicode properties in ID3v1 tags
- Fixed some slighly off MKV properties
- Improved parsing of WavPack thumbnails and properties

OK, I talked too fast.
The new beta fixed the channel mapping but now the audio bitdepth's gone. I didn't notice it at first.

For what file type?
The property seems to be shown properly here on my system.

EDIT: Oh, you mean in the mkv 'Audio Tracks' string. I see the issue.

EDIT 2: Alright, it's been fixed. The next build will include the fix. Thanks for the report! Well spotted! :)

Yes, I meant in the mkv.
Looking at my previous shows beta 4 also had that bug.

Btw, I noticed that MKV files with AC3 tracks show S32 now.
I'm not sure that's correct, because if I'm not wrong, AC3 doesn't have bitdepths, but just an assumed one of S16.
