New Release: 3.0.0 RC 4
#1
Star
Good Evening Everyone,

Got the first build of the year ready for you. Finally!
It's not the most impressive list of changes to date, but it's still nice getting an up-to-date build out.

Once again I had to release this as RC, since I can't be sure if any
regressions has been introduced since the last RC with all the time that has passed,
but I'm still aiming to make v. 3.0.0 go final soon.

I've disabled the minidump reports in this build, as most of the reports I have
recently recieved, has been crashes caused by other processes, completely unrelated to Icaros.
Icaros simply reported the crash because it happened in Explorer.exe.

Primarily it has been Nvidia GeForce Experience (i.e. the shadowplay feature (nvspcap64.dll)),
and Google Drive Sync that has caused 90% of the crashes.
Only about 3% were actually related to Icaros, and usually caused by a single badly encoded file.

With that said if you get a crash that you suspect is related to Icaros,
I have added a registry switch to enable minidump debugging if needed.

Thank you all for the support these past months, and enjoy the new build! ;)

Thanks for the release.
I just got one problem, icaros keeps on crashing everytime I modify the thumbnail filetypes, when it asks me if I want to include filetypes that aren't in the preset.

Hmm.. do you click yes or no when it asks?

I click yes. But it seems that disabling thumbnailing before clicking yes fixes it. Then re-enable it again.

I can't immediately reproduce the crash, but let me try a few things.
Is there an error message available in the Event Log?

Hate to be that guy ... but is there any way to host it somewhere that isn't Mediafire?
I can't seem to connect to them at all from here ...

I believe Videohelp is self-hosting their files, so you should be able to get the latest build (RC 4) from there.
Here is the link.

Otherwise I will gladly upload the files to an alternative host.
