I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the Windows 7 codecs and there is no Settings Application listed to right click on. The x64 componants has one, but that isn't going to work unless the codecs are set to run as admin is it?
Any ideas? |

RE: No Settings Application listing for dl
If you are using an old virus scanner without updating,
it is possible it saw the settings32.exe as a potential threat and removed the file from your system. Manually browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Win7codecs\Tools and if settings32.exe exists, rightclick it and choose Run as Administrator |

I will try uninstalling, turning off the antivirus and reinstalling. Would a diagnostic startup with networking work maybe? |
