Playinh 1080p movies
My older laptop can play 720p fine but is having a hard time playing 1080p movies. I have a 1080p movie file with me though. Can you set shark0007 codec to play a 1080p movie file as 720p quality?
Please let me know. Thanks. |

RE: Playinh 1080p movies
try using an alternate player. I suggest MPC-HC downloded from my tools page.
on the H264 TAB, select LAV and then click its config button. In the upper right try using some hardware acceleration. |

Quote:In the upper right try using some hardware acceleration. Just to clarify the settings: Nvidia CUVID - should work on any newer Nvidia Geforce cards (probably 9xxx and upwards) Intel Quicksync - will work only on new Intel "graphic cards" (integrated into the CPU, e.g. 2000, 3000, 4000 graca series / 2xxx, 3xxx cpu series) DXVA2 Copy-back - should work on any decent graphic card DXVA2 Native - works best with more powerful Nvidia or AMD dedicated graphic cards. The modes depend very much on graphic drivers - newest might be the best, but this is not always the case. Also filetypes might be different. A MKV file with h264 1080p video might be playing just fine, but WMV is not supported yet/or not fully if I am not mistaken. Windows 8 x64 / i5 750 / AMD HD 5850 / Benq XL 2410T / MPC-BE / Win7codecs |
