RE: RELEASED DirectVobSub x64 v2.37
My software is not breaking your system or you would see 1000's of people complaining of the issue you describe.
I suggest a clean install of the OS and be a little more maticulous of your software installation choices. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |

RE: RELEASED DirectVobSub x64 v2.37
Awefully defensive aren't we? I never said your software was breaking anything. I was stating my results, and can't figure it out yet. I can't explain it neither, and am trying to troubleshoot it.
That PC is a clean install, bare minimum, with drivers. All it does it play movies and music via media player (installed with the os) and media center (also installed with the os). The only thing left to do is start over, but from what I have currently installed, it makes no sense.. I have tried another codec set and it seems to be fine...(on-going testing). But I guess there's no point in asking here anymore as you don't seem interested in helping. |

You try building and delivering a codecpack into an environment where anybody 'in the know' when it comes to codecs, say 'do not use codecpacks because they'll break your system.' I defend my software because people were screwed over so badly by K-crap destroying thier systems they are unwilling to try anything anymore. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software

RE: RELEASED DirectVobSub x64 v2.37
As I mentioned before I never said specifically it was shark007 breaking my system. I was just saying that playback halted after resume and had no idea.
If I knew the real culprit: 1) I could fix it and be happy. 2) I could then reliably blame it on, say shark007 codecs *if* that was the culprit. But at this point in time I have no idea. Considering it's a pack it could be any piece in it. I CAN say I've had great results with shark007 on my 32bit win 7 pro install. This 64bit shtuff is way too new and being super picky... The shark007 package is great as it contains all the free items I'm currently manually installing and configuring myself to see at what point things break, however I couldn't get the subs to work in 64bit media center yet by manually installing the 64bit vsfilter.dll. All I can say is so far I appear ok by installing the minimalist set of codecs.. As for 'everybody in the know' I don't know them nor do I care. I like it when things just work, be it a package, or not, I don't want to waste my time like I currently am. |

RE: RELEASED DirectVobSub x64 v2.37
..that was in reference to my time spent troubleshooting..fyi.
as for your edit "I defend my software because people were screwed over so badly by K-crap destroying thier systems they are unwilling to try anything anymore." I hear ya, k-crap is a piece of sh*t.. I had so many problems with that and so much overhead in it.. |
