Settings Application with Large Fonts
With my Windows Home Premium X64 computer on my 32" television at home, I have to use Windows default large fonts. However, the Settings Application doesn't seem optomized for large fonts, with some text un-readable, and other text not displayed at all.

RE: Settings Application with Large Fonts
Shark007,
Do you set the Form Size (width and height) to a fixed number during Form Laod? This tend to disobey DPI settings. |

RE: Settings Application with Large Fonts
innitialy, I used 'default' for a font setting. I thought as you, and set the font size.
In testing there is no difference, the app font gets resized along with the system font anyway. If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software

RE: Settings Application with Large Fonts
I've been working towards a solution...
Please test this replacement application. It is archieved using 7zip. This replacement app will allow you to RESIZE the application window. This is not the perfect solution. The buttons dont get resized but at least the overall app becomes readable. Also know, it will not remember the resized dimensions nor placement. Each time the app is openned you will need to resize it. To test this app.... You must have the Vista Codec Package installed and you must overwrite the existing file in the \Tools directory with the new file If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software

RE: Settings Application with Large Fonts
OK, forget the previous resizing idea. (although I left that function in anyway)
I have uploaded a new application for testing. It contains a complex algorithm that detects the current DPI in use by the OS and then resizes the entire application accordingly before presenting it to the user including all text and buttons. K-II thanks again for bring this to my attention. I believe this is now RESOLVED. To test this app.... (It is archieved using 7zip - extract it) You must have the Vista Codec Package installed and you must overwrite the existing file in the \Tools directory with the new file see this post for download: download from here If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software

I still have this problem with Win7codecs 2.2.3 on Windows 7 RTL. My system is Chinese ver and the font in English is Segou UI with larger space between letters. I use Verdana Type to show this 32bit MKV thumbnailing requires to be 32bit MKV thumbnailing requires to be With larger space between letters, the setting application can't show it completely. |

RE: Settings Application with Large Fonts
I am aware of this issue and will endevour to resolve it. Setting a fixed font in the application is possible but I haven't found one that is suitable without having to rewrite the entire applications' dimentional factors (huge task)
If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
