Some questions for a guide I am writing

Hi

I am doing a new blog post about my Shark 007 codec setup. I was using version 3.1.6 on my HTPC with this setup.

I've just installed your latest version 3.3.9 and I am running through the configuration again.

On the AVI tab the default was use LAV Splitter however the default is now use Microsoft splitter.

Was wondering why the change and was there some issues with the LAV splitter ?

There is also a change on the MKV tab from LAV Splitter being the default back to using the Haali Splitter as the default.

I've got MKV's set to use the LAV. My sample MKV clips in the Media Center Video library play OK but some of my MKV movies do not play from My Movies / WMC. If use the Haali Splitter instead they play OK.

So has there been problems with using LAV since Shark 007 v 3.1.6 ?

I changed the defaults to accomodate the widest range of playback ability.

Most of the MKV files I tried from My Movies / WMC just did not play using the LAV filter on the MKV tab in v 3.3.9 I just got a blue MCE background screen. I had to change to use Haali. This was not the case in v 3.1.6 where MKVs played fine in WMC with LAV filter.
