Super frustrated, need help with xbox and mkv

Hey there everyone. I had the same problem with the video error as soon as I upgraded to 3.6.1, was able to get it to work after some setting changes, but then the quality wasn't as good. I upgraded to 3.6.2 when it came out and couldn't get mkv's to play at all no matter what settings i changed. I went back to 3.5.9 and now my media extender works again. Not sure exactly what changed in 3.6.X to break it, but that is where the problem is. I hope this helps.

Interesting... this seems consistent with what I'm experiencing. I've been on 3.0.8 for about a year and all works great. I tried upgrading to 3.6.7 today and nothing I did allowed mkv playback on my xbox. Downgraded back to 3.0.8 and worked perfectly.

Using a current release, after selecting to enable the DivX MF splitter on the MKV TAB, make sure that Microsoft is selected on the H264 TAB.

I gave this another try today and same results - I've made sure that MS is selected in the h264 tab. Seems like no matter what combination, I couldn't get it to work. And going back to 3.0.8 works perfect the first time. Very strange...
