This is something I'd love to see, especially for PDF files. Support for DOC and DOCX files would be a great idea at some point, if possible.

I have been looking into pdf and fb2 a bit.

fb2 could probably be added without too much work. 
pdf is another story, though. I'm still considering the options and looking into the format. 
It wouldn't be something I can easily implement unfortunately.
