VOB files not playing

I have Shark 3.6.3 installed - 32bit and 64 bit.
I am using Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

I tried to play a vob file (that i downloaded from the internet - and iplays fine in VLC or when i change its file type to mpg) by directly clicking on it and WMP 12 only opened in its small form factor (the Now Playing mode) and show nothing - no error - nothing - what can i do (all other files that i tried to play work fine)
What's even stranger is if i put a movie disk in my CD player the PC plays the movie just fine but when i click open on the disk and enter "into it" and try to click on the vob files directly they don't play - the same thing happens that i described above.

On the Help TAB, use the button for [Windows Filetype Associations]

Within a DVD structure or on an original DVD can play WMP 12 or MC7 no individual VOB files.
When you copy a VOB file from these sources in an "empty" folder, works well with the same VOB-file.
That certainly has something to do with DRM, even if you have the DVD structure created without copy protection.
