Video Signal Drops on AVI XVID Files ??
First, many thanks for providing such an amazing suite of tools. I almost have it all working exactly as I need but having one issue that has persisted ever since I started using Media Center a year ago. To the point.
The video drops and I receive a "Weak or no signal" message on my TV after watching what seems to be only some particular files. Audio continues to play. I can play the files with an issue for ten seconds to an hour or two before the video drops. I have attached the analysis of the files to this post. I have done significant testing playing all different types of files over the past few days to see what drops and what does not. I am running version 3.3.8 of the 64bit application with Media Center on 7MC. I have spent hours troubleshooting everything from hardware to drivers in all of the equipment along the chain. I am happy to expand on all of the troubleshooting steps but will keep this initial post as short as possible. Sincere thanks for any help resolving this issue. |

RE: Video Signal Drops on AVI XVID Files ??
you are not using the codecs for this type of playback.
What you are doing is called DLNA or Media Streaming. Sorry to say, I have no help to offer for this type of playback. |

Thank you for the quick reply and apologies for what might be a very basic question - how is what I'm doing DLNA or Media Streaming? I have a Dell 580s machine connected to a Denon receiver via HDMI connected to a Samsung TV via HDMI. The files play directly off of the 580s where Media Center is installed. Maybe I incorrectly stated something in my original post to make you think I was streaming or maybe I'm extremely deficient in my understanding. Thank you! |
