 Vista Codec 6.2.6 has bugs?

Recently I installed "Vista Codec 6.2.6" on my Windows XP pro + SP3 and got several bugs... My OP restarted explorer or closed media player. I used Media player home classic as an alternative player but bug is exist yet... This is surly thumbnail problem which appears while the video file format is avi
I've already checked this topic but didn't take effect on my computer... http://shark007.net/forum/Thread-AVI-thu...sion-6-2-5 This is why explorer faulted and restarted but I don't know why "Windows media player" and "Media player home classic" stop functioning...! |

The Vista codec (VCP) 6.2.6 does not run stable in XP MCE 2005 SP3, and certainly not with installed NERO.
If you do not have the possibility to take advantage of Windows 7, I suggest XBMC 11 (Eden) to test once, because it operates independently of the installed Microsoft codecs and Nero! AMD A6-3650 with HD6530 graphics * XP MCE 2005, Windows 7 x86 + x64 + 8 x64 * PowerDVD 12 + 13 |

Thank you for info "Nero 7.5.9.0 ultimate" is already installed on my Windows XP pro + SP3 but before this version (Vista Codec 6.2.6) everything were fine. Beside I've already tried "Media player home classic" but it fault to functioning as well... I guess there are some bugs, because when I remove "Vista Codec 6.2.6" everything are going well again. I'm going to download XBMC and will take a note here. Thanx again |
