Vista Codec 6.3.0

Has anybody installed this package (6.3.0)?

I have already experienced a lot of problems installing 6.2.6 version, so I had to install 6.2.1

I want to know the latest package is safe to install on my Windows XP pro + SP3

Any reply to reporting appreciated...

when creating version 630, I used version 621 as the base. That being said, most likely your problems are with LAV so if you do have problems, choose ffdshow and disable LAV where-ever possible.

Please know; I do not test on OS's deprecated by the manufacturer.
I only tested with Vista during the creation of this release.

PS: With FFDshow video decoder, it will certainly not run.

OK, I know you just test this package on Vista.
So please note what's coming below is my test result on Windows XP pro + SP3
All settings are "Vista Codec 6.3.0" default settings.

I exprienced an Error during Installation, Repair and Uninstallation process as follows (Take a look at attached file):

Error 1904.
Module C:\Windows\System32\VSFilter.dll failded to register.
HRESULT -2147220473.
Contact your support personnel.

Also there is no subtitle support using this version. I couldn't load any subtitles.

If you are not going to support "Windows XP" please specify a certain link for "Windows XP" users to download "Vista Codec 6.2.1" directly (For prevent future problems).

In Windows XP MCE 2005 SP3 VCP (Vista Codec Pack) version 6.3.0 works only with the default LAV video decoder (see link above). If others are tested, sometimes nothing, and only works with "Rest All" can be changed back to LAV. Maybe even a reinstallation is necessary.

Here with me VSFilter installed:

My current installed "Vista Codec" is 6.2.1 version.
But I've already tested your suggested settings (above link) using "Vista Codec 6.3.0". Unfortunately no success.
I got the same error (mentioned in my post ERROR 1904) and no subtitle as well.

Also my current "VSFilter.dll" is 1.5.3.3752 version (my VSFilter.dll has been attached).

Where did your version come from?
VCP 6.3.0 it is not in any case!
Have you experimented with different codec packs and they are not (properly) uninstalling?
Have you installed old MPC-HC versions?

MPC-HC version 1.6.2.4902 (Latest version)
Vista Codec 6.2.1 (my current installed version)

No other codecs installed in my computer (Never). But previous versions of "Vista codec" and the latest one (6.3.0) had already installed and currently replaced by 6.2.1 version.

As I know all the uninstall were successful. I use "Uninstall VCP" which placed in program file for "Vista Codec" packages...
AND
Control panel > Add/Remove program for uninstall MPC-HC previous versions.
Also I don't know why my "VSFilter.dll" company named "MPC-HC team".
It seems that software modify this dll file or something...!

The thread title refers to VCP 6.3.0 and I use VCP 6.3.0, that is not VCP 6.2.1!
VCP 6.2.1 runs with LAV-decoder in XP worse than 6.3.0 and with FFDshow decoder does not work (properly).
