WMP Absolutely refuses to play .AVI correctly

I've tried several different codec packs so far (I uninstalled all the others before installing yours), but WMP still wont play .avi correctly. It plays sound, but no video at all. I'm on Win 7 64 bit and have WMP 12. Any idea why it's being such a turd?

press [Reset All]
disable the DMO codecs on the SWAP TAB

if it still fails to play, then most likely the problem is your UAC setting.
uninstall the codecs, set UAC to its 'Default' position, reboot the computer and re-install the codecs.
