WMV thumbnails - how to customize them?

I've noticed that MP4s, FLVs, and AVIs show thumbnails of screenshots from the middle of the video, while WMVs just show the first frame from the video, so it's less descriptive.

Is there any way to make it so that WMVs show thumbnails from the middle of the videos?

Using Win 7 x64.

open the 64bit settings application using administrative privileges
On the Config TAB, click the button, [Icaros Thumbnailing]

press the [Deactivate Icaros] button
add .wmv; to the front of the optional filetypes list
press the [Activate Icaros] button
