Weird transparent images bug O_o

Hello! I've downloaded a show and the first thing I've noticed is that there's this weird bug as if part of the video was on screen *but with a transparent-like effect* before it appeared, I took some screenshots







I'm using version 3.6.2 and Shark007 SUGGESTED settings


I hope you can help me solve my problem! Thanks a lot ^_^

On the H264 TAB, try selecting 'Use FFDshow's codec'

If changing the decoder didnt help, I would next look to the graphics drivers as the cause.
Go to the manufacturer of the graphics chipset and see if they have an updated release available.

I have downloaded catalyst version 12.4 but it keeps on happening

If the anomolies are in the identical spot everytime, maybe it is just part of the video.

i don't think it's part of the video because when I chose ffdshow video decoder the images were less noticeable but where still there nonetheless

I checked the group's page (Whynot) and there were no comments about this bug O_o
it seems it worked ok for everyone else

You could try upload a sample of your video with these effect, then we can check whether it is on video, the decoder or the graphics card!
PS: I also use Shark007 3.6.2 and ATI/AMD Catalyst 12.4.

On the Misc TAB of the settings application is a dropbox that will cut a 40MB sample from a much larger file. To use the dropbox the app must be started without admin privileges. Upload the sample to a file sharing site such as mediafire.com, grab the download url and post that here.
