What software to you like for tagging Videos? (Dvd covers, descriptions etc)
I have used YAMMM but it tends to do some incorrectly and it doesn't seem to be supported anymore etc. DVD Library Manager is kind of crummy in my opinion. (from my limited experience) Am I missing out on a good piece of software somewhere?
I know this may be a question that is out of place here....I have noticed that most individuals here seem pretty knowledgeable about this stuff. Thanks. |

Nothing? I figured many of you use Windows Media Center or something similar and want the DVD covers (if nothing else) to have an organized look. If you like a piece of software and have had good experience w/ it, I sincerely would love to know what it is. thx.

To answer my own question, there is a plugin to Windows Media Center called Mediabrowser that seems to work pretty good thus far. (just an fyi)

RE: What software to you like for tagging Videos? (Dvd covers, descriptions etc)
nothing
do it manually I create a folder.jpg in every directory. If the folder of videos are from a DVD i re-size the image by 300px @96dpi maintaining the aspect ratio. (because i use a picture of the DVD front cover) Other times i create smaller logo images for a target size of 300x150. I found if you use certain dimensions in WMC they can look pretty bad.. so my rule of thumb is # wide divided by 2 high and then it looks clear. I also create main folders for every TV show and i use the show logo and make it with a black background. I use to use Jpeg 100% quality with no sharpness but i recently re did all my images and i now use the standard Jpeg profile "Better Quality" All gfx editing with Adobe Fireworks. And each season of a TV show in its own season sub-folder. only drawback of doing things manually is its very hard to do synopsis's so i don't bother with those.. also tried Mediabrowser before and didn't like it at all |
