Wonky MKV Playback
I am Win7 32-bit using "suggested settings" for a few years and update system, drivers and programs regularly. This computer really doesn't do anything else but WMC. All formats play smooth, fine and in sync to a Sony panel through Media Center using a GeForce 9600 card through HDMI and digital audio. Except MKVs. The audio is almost always slightly behind then will try to catch up. When it tries to sync, the image jerks ahead. Back and forth, in and out of sync and skipping. I have not fiddled with any audio settings although a +6dB gain from FFDShow audio would be nice.

RE: Wonky MKV Playback
On the Audio TAB, use the button to [disable LAV audio]
and check the box directly below that for normalization |

RE: Wonky MKV Playback

Add Delay in FFD. Add 20ms to each output for better lip sync. Disable AC3 filter This results in very good, smooth MP4 playback and I will choose this file format over the MKV. However, MKV playback is still jittery at times, skipping frames and such. I'd like to use MKV because of the greater resolution but I'm OK for now with the smaller file size d/l. Any ideas are welcome. Text "Klay" to 50500 for contact info -.- .-.. .- -.-- / .- - / -.- .-.. .- -.-- / -.. --- - / -.-. --- -- |
