XVID+AC3 or MKV with DTS
I've had this problem forever.
I am now running Win7x86. If I check the AC3 box at the top right of the "audio"tab, my MKV files with DTS soundtracks play perfectly (5.1 audio). But I get NO audio when I try to play an XVID with AC3 audio! I have to uncheck the AC3 box. Is there any workaround for this? If I leave the use AC3 filter unchecked, I get only PCM audio playback with DTS soundtracks. Back and forth, back and forth... Any suggestions please. This was a problem with VMC (32bit) also. I use optical out to a Dolby/DTS capable receiver and I have the latest Realtek drivers installed. |

RE: XVID+AC3 or MKV with DTS
There are bugs for optical users in past releases.
I do not own S/PDIF equipment, so it was very difficult for me to resolve. I'm confident that I finally nailed the issue, Get version 237 from MajorGeeks If you have version 237 . . . Press Reset All choose the SUGGESTED settings box go the Audio TAB and select to use FFDshow passthough one last comment, to get ffdshow to decode all audio formats and use passthough to the amp, (aac etc) it may also be nessasary to disable the Microsoft audio decoder on the SWAP TAB If UAC is turned OFF, please uninstall my software
Default UAC settings are required for my software to function properly |
