error playing avi

I had installed newest codecs,when playing avi, a message "server execution fail?

what happen?

-OS (32/64bit)
-CPU/Graphic card
-Version of Shark codecs
-Player (WMP, MPC...)
-all avi files?
-are you trying to play the file over network?

most likely, a networking issue.
move the file to the PC doing the playback.

Choosing th disable the DMO codecs on the SWAP TAB oftens helps to get proper AVI playback.
